NEWS: 5 dead in 7 days: 3 at Trinity falls, 2 on a yacht
At Trinity Falls
Trinity falls one of this country’s main tourism sites has claimed the lives of 3 visitors.
On June 29th, 2010, 3 nationals of the Czech Republic reportedly drowned at the falls.
Police identified the victims as Oldrich Mzurek, 62, Captain Marie Kroupova, 71 and Petr Croupa, 70 years old.
A police report states that the visitors were having a swim at Trinity Falls when Kroupova got into difficulties while in the water.
It is alleged that the other 2 persons went to her assistance but also encountered difficulties. All 3 subsequently drowned. The police were called in and the bodies were taken to the Kingstown Mortuary.
The visitors arrive in the state on June 28, 2010, on their yacht named ‘Tequila’ which was anchored off Cumberland Bay. Trinity falls is situated in the Walliabou river on the leeward side of St. Vincent.

On a Yacht
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of two persons whose bodies were found on board a yacht recently.
On Wednesday 23rd June, persons in Bequia reportedly spotted the body of a man hanging on a yacht at Hamilton Bay.
Upon further investigations, the body of a woman was also found inside the yacht.
Up to news time on Wednesday night, the identity of the dead persons was not disclosed.
It was, however, learnt that they are of French nationality. Investigators were out all day Wednesday, trying to put together the pieces of these mysterious deaths
